24 Motorcycling Hours
of Montjuïc

Temporary,Barcelona Motorcycle Museum
July 2012 - September 2013

A tribute to one of the most charismatic races which took place in the former urban circuit in Barcelona

The 24 Motorcycling Hours of Montjuic was the most charismatic race, out of all the ones which took place in the former urban circuit in Barcelona, due to the empathy that fans felt with all those heroes fighting day and night to run faster against tiredness, accidents and failures of their bikes.

This new temporary exhibition at Barcelona Motorcycle Museum aims to pay tribute and recognition to all those magic moments experienced along the 32 editions of this race, between 1955 and 1986, which arrived to its end only to protect the safety of both riders and fans.

It is the first time in history that 20 motorcycles which took part in this mythic race are exhibited in a common area, some of them actually won the race. The exact replica of a box, trophies and endless items connected with this race, deserve special attention as well, together with the original posters of all those years kindly lent by Peña Motorista Barcelona, entity who organized this race throughout its history.
